简　介

埃尔万是曼哈顿一家大银行的交易员，他玩股票并从中获利不少。但他从不满足，总想摸索出一条无往而不胜的取财之道。当他偶然在一本科学杂志上读到一篇气候学文章时，他突然直觉股市涨落也许同气候变化不无关系。自称掌握了能使他成为金融市场主宰者的神奇公式，他劝说文章的作者赛比尔，为他的发现建模，并创立一个对冲基金。尽管迟疑不决，后者还是信服了埃尔万。最终埃尔万将自己卷入一场将失去所有赌注的游戏……
