But I do not know what the relationship between “taking a bow” and “showing off” is. I asked my classmate and then I understand. The expression “take a bow” means “stand forward or stand up to receive recognition, applause, etc”. So I have learned a new expression. Besides, there are a lot of beautiful sentences which were worth reciting. At the same time, I have read the book which matched with our lessons, I found some useful expressions, key words and phrases, and I noted these in my reading time. |
