| 释义 | When it comes to unit 5, I am first attracted by the title “physical attractiveness”. It seems that it is an interesting topic. Everyone in the world care for their appearance much. At the beginning of first paragraph, the author raises several interesting questions. I suppose that he wants to draw the readers’ attention. In my view, “date” is a romantic word. It contains lots of expectations and dreams. Therefore, when we look for a potential date, we may have a high standard. Sincerity, good looks, character, conversational ability… These are all what we are pursuing. In paragraph two, the word“intuition”interests me .The literal meaning of this word is immediate apprehension by the mind without reasoning. While, in the text the author wants to tell us that people think physical appearance is important without any reasons, but from the bottom of the heart. And this intuition affects us. |
