| 释义 | From para.12 to para.16,the main idea is about sympathetic type .I don't understand the "because"in the second sentence of para12.In my mind,"because"means the reason,it is a conjective words ,and follow by a comma,what's the comma mean?Why there is a comma behind the conjective words.I read it again carefully.Then I get it suddenly.I guess it emphasiz the subject---insecure showoffs.It is wise for the speaker,he has another technigues for showing off.In para13,the word "folks"puzzled me .I look it up in the dictionary.It has the same meaning as people,however,it is a plural nouns.The other words is “nonetheless”,in dictionary,it means “but”,in this sentence,the author use “nonetheless” in order to make the sentence more fomal,I think. In para15,there are three "A",-----admiration,astonishment,awe,I don't know "astonishment" when I read the sentence in the first time.Then I look it up in the dictionary,it means superise,and I understand what the author want to express.The author use three”A”here enables the article rhyme. |
