来自密西西比州Star小镇的Faith Hill三岁开始在教堂演唱，从小便对歌唱表演充满热情，Faith Hill成长的过程中深受福音和乡村音乐影响，拥有一副媲美黑人的灵魂唱腔的Faith Hill，13岁学习吉他，之后进入Hinds Junior College就读，以丰富的表演经验成为学校风云人物，接著她独立来到纳许维尔，追寻儿时歌唱梦，从卖t-shirt、进入唱片相关行业转而表演，受到名经纪人盖瑞莫利斯赏识，开启她的巨星扉页。

93年秋天，Faith Hill推出处女作《Take Me As I Am》（Faith Hill本色）写下戏剧化开始，专辑第一首歌"Wild One"一推出便获乡村榜四周冠军，成为自64年Connie Smith来，第一位有此成绩的新进歌手；销售达200万张的专辑还产生"Take Me As I Am"、翻唱Janis Joplin "Piece Of My Heart"另两首冠军曲，Faith Hill风光拿下各项年度新人奖。

95年第二张专辑《It Matters To Me》（在乎）则获得更多支持，同名单曲"It Matters To Me"成为第四首冠军曲，整张作品带有浓厚个人色彩，还缔造五首Top10 纪录，至此Faith Hill已成为美国乐坛重要女歌手。
