In para3 I don’t know the meaning of “down” at the beginning of this paragraph.Although it is easy to know the words meaning,we can’t comprehend the attitude of the author. The woman and the experts are showing off themselves,but we are complaining.In author’s opinion,they are the same.I am against the author’s view. Many people are fond of showing off. They always insist on footing the bill when they are out with friends. They always think of impressing people with their wealth. They seem to think that money can buy friends. In fact, it can't. Instead of trying to show off, they should be themselves. |
