The Pretty Reckless is an alternative rock band from New York City that was formed and is fronted by American actress and model Taylor Momsen. Other members include Ben Phillips (guitar), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums). The band was originally going to be called "The Reckless", but was changed to The Pretty Reckless due to trademark problems.Their debut album entitled Light Me Up is due to be released on August 31, 2010. They released their first single "Make Me Wanna Die" on May 13, 2010. The single peaked at 1# on the UK Rock Chart and was received with positive reviews.　Taylor Momsen：“不夸张地说，我从5岁就开始写歌和玩吉他。”

关于为什么组乐队而不是一创作歌手，泰勒解释，“我想找人和我一起完成我的梦想，表达出我要的音乐。”其中的关键词就是“泰勒的音乐”。这份执着，让The Pretty Reckless经历过一次彻底换血，原因是旧团员无法表达出泰勒想要的音乐。

早在09年初，泰勒就率领了三个成员录制了小样，并且还在美国朋克双人女组合The Veronicas的巡演中当开场嘉宾。但泰勒不管乐队已经曝光，因为乐队成员无法适应她音乐风格的原因而将他们果断开除。目前，The Pretty Reckless由她担当创作、主唱、吉他，本·飞利浦是另一个吉他手、马克·戴蒙是贝斯手，吉米·珀金斯是鼓手。“二轮”The Pretty Reckless的风格和“首轮”相比，曲风显得更加不客气，更加黑暗。
