丁玉强，男， 1967年1月出生于河南省方城县；1987年7月毕业于郑州大学化学系，同年8月至1993年8月被分配到南阳理工学院工作；1993年9月至1996年7月在华中理工大学化学系应用化学专业读研究生，获工学硕士；1996年8月至1998年8月回南阳理工学院工作；1998年9月至12月在德国哥廷根大学（Georg-August-University Goettingen）化学系完成硕士学位等价认证考试；1999年1月至2002年6月在哥廷根大学化学系攻读博士，获自然科学博士学位（Dr. rer.nat.）；同年7月至12月在该大学从事博士后研究工作；2003年1月至2004年3月在德国马普煤炭研究所（Max-Planck Institute of Coal Research）从事博士后研究；同年4月到江南大学化学与材料工程学院工作，被聘为校聘教授，2005年被评为教授，2006年被评为博士生导师。
