| 释义 | After I read these two paragraphs, I find that the fourth paragraph talks about the worker’s idea of making work meaningful, and the next paragraph talks about how to motivate the employees at work. This part gives me some ideas that how to become a good employee, and how to manage employees. In the forth paragraph, a word ‘value’ appears twice. And I have seen the word many times in Paragraph 1 to Paragraph 3. The word is not only a verb but also a noun. And if this word adds two letters ‘ed’---‘valued’, it becomes an adjective. The author uses these difference [different] types so as to avoid boredom about the article. The sentence ‘They want to know that their work is important and how it fits into the corporate strategy.’ draws my attention. After I analyses this sentence, I find there are two object clauses. They are ‘their work is important’ and ‘how it fits into the corporate strategy’. Meanwhile I find a phrase which I haven’t seen before---‘fit into’. It equals [add to]‘fit in’ and means ‘to (cause to) match or agree’. Its synonym is ‘fit it with’. In the next paragraph, the author tells us that the relationship about the job performance and reward is a major fact to motivate employees and the author uses an example to explain it. Then I find the working environment and the company’s culture also are [are also] the essential factors. I feel puzzled about the last sentence. I can’t find the predicate. At last, I discover---I ignore that the ‘benefit’ could be used as a verb. |
