释义 | I could understand the two dashes in the first sentence were the explanations or complements about what the author said. Then, one expression here questioned me a lot, that is “that if we’d been that lucky lady”. From my angel[angle] , I am used to say that “If we were you, then……” what is [did]the author aimed [aim] to show? Is [Was] it just another form of grammar? Or maybe it is [was] a way of the author’s showing off, through the words---her speciality, which evidenced by many other parts. For instance, “triumph”、“tidings”、“proclaim”. These words are appeared in this paragraph, too. I thought most students involve me will be lost in troubles [? troubled in] when saw these words at the first sight. They might be familiar with but couldn’t identify. . In the following sentences, I couldn’t help laughing. The author’s behavior might be too exaggerated to be accepted. The ordinary people couldn’t arrive to that degree, from my eyes; the author was over exulting about herself. One thing here I wanted to admire was that the author calmed herself down finally, which provided that the author has a little self-control at least. |
