Yet in the second paragraph the article’s author just tells us her real intention that the young lady are(is) showing off. Then in the following paragraphs, she takes some typical cases in order to expound “show off” deeply. So we want to understand why the writer put(puts) such examples in the beginning. Apart from attracting reader’s attention, those words actually are responding to the title which is a question. From some adjectives such as scholarly and various noun like experts or mother, obviously, we can learn that “showing off” presents everywhere even though you are in which(any) stage of life. During the reading, there are some interesting places appealing to me such as “immune”. Its basic meaning is to protect against a particular disease by particular substances in the blood. And that’s posed in article meant that someone isn’t affected or upset by a particular type of behavior or emotion. The writer wants to tell us that nobody can avoid showing off in that this is a weakness s of mankind. “Blazing” and “throbbing” also describe the woman who is serious very much, but this behavior is thought as “show off”. Thus, it is hardly to say this isn’t satiric. |
