They judge companies from many different kinds of aspects, such as ethnic diversity, harassment, hiring and so on. In fact, I do not know these words. They are in the first paragraph. So I use the dictionary to look them up. That means variety of race. Then, I do not know the sentence “a number of companies recently in the news know all too well the public impact of internal decisions.” What is the meaning of “know all too well”? How can I put it? I read it several times and So I have to look them up from the dictionary and some reference books. [references]“All too” means “very”. In this paragraph, the author gives us two examples to express the opinion. How they deal with issues and the attitude toward [towards the] work is very important to people. The company awards the staffs and send [sends] gift to people who contribute to the company. They connect a stable workforce with profitability well. That means establishment of corporation image. Good public consciousness is a good brand which will produce deep and large impact on company’s performance. So I agree with their behavior. |
