| 释义 | After I read the last 3 paragraphs(,) I still have some doubts about these 3 paragraphs. I just feel it is very difficult to understand. There are many new words and long sentences. But the most difficult to me are the punctuation marks. The author’s use 4 “()” in one sentence in paragraph 23. I think “()”’s function is to explain the author’s idea in the article, but in this sentence the function is different to the usually usage. I feel 4 “()” in one sentence make the sentence more difficult to understand and make the sentence too long. In paragraph 24 the sentence “of being harshly viewed as…well…showoffs” also confused me. I don’t understand the two “…” function in this sentence. I’d never seen this usage before. Now I read the whole article. Off cause it is a nice and wonderful article but I don’t agree to the author’s some views in this article. (what is your view?) |
