蒋星红，女，博士，教授，博士生导师。苏州大学医学部基础医学与生物科学学院神经生物学教研室（研究室）主任，苏州大学医学部副主任，江苏省生理科学学会副理长，中国生理学会理事，江苏省高等学校医药教育研究会常务理事。

二十多年来一直从事生理学、神经生物学的教学工作和神经生物学的基础研究。曾先后在意大利catania大学和日本昭和大学作访问学者，获医学博士学位。

科研项目

早期的研究工作主要是痛觉的调制，参与了三项国家自然科学基金的课题研究。自日本留学归国后，主要研究方向是神经内分泌免疫调制和神经干细胞生物学。已发表论文50余篇，参编教材或论著十部，获省部级科技进步三等奖四项。主持中日校际合作研究课题“神经干细胞的定向分化”和“神经系统与免疫系统相互影响”。同时，还与美国佛罗里达州立大学医学院虞献民教授合作，开展慢性痛的中枢机制研究；与秦正红教授合作，进行蛇毒的镇痛作用研究。是苏州大学衰老与神经疾病实验室，神经可塑性和功能调节研究方向学科带头人。
