Rice是个翻唱达人，同时也是一个创作达人。翻唱的eminem的“love the way you lie ”“not afraid”，非常受欢迎，用清澈的嗓音和旋律代替了说唱，一些不喜欢Rap的听起来跟有感觉。同时还有许多经典翻唱。他和lil wanye合唱过“it's you,在2010年与翻唱达人Jason Chen合作的《童话》，使更多中国歌迷感受到了J Rice的磁性声音。 在2005 年他出过一张专辑《the Intro》2010年出了张自己的首张翻唱专辑《The Covers, Vol. 1》 ，这张是2011年最新发行的翻唱专辑《The Covers, Vol. 2》
