巴蒂斯特莉出生在音乐世家，是来自美国纽约的基督教女歌手,她的歌声低沉浑厚这样的音域特质展露一种迷人的气味,而歌曲的旋律和张力更是有著摇滚与民谣结合的展现。十五岁时是奥兰多一个流行乐团的成员，乐团解散后，巴蒂斯特莉开始拿起吉他创作歌曲。

2004年巴蒂斯特莉独立发行首张专辑《Just a Breath 》，2008年签约后，在iTunes首先推EP《I'm Letting Go 》，接著同年推出专辑《My Paper Heart》 ,并获得圣鸽奖(GMA Dove Awards)多项提名。
