Charlie Landsborough 是一位爱尔兰乡村男歌手，声音极富磁性。但和传统乡村的那种固定到似乎连发音、腔调都几乎一致的味道又有不同，他的音乐来得更民间，叙事体民谣在他的作品中最为常见。

他的音乐是平易近人的，但是确很能触及人的内心。这个可爱可敬的歌手有着一把无比动人的嗓音。

这位五十多岁才正式发行唱片的歌手，曾经差一点被关进牢房，结婚时潦倒到买件礼服也要妻子付帐，可以想象这其中的坎坷与艰辛，多年生活的沉淀和磨砺，有时候的确似乎缺乏了些许激情，但是决不阴暗，始终透出的是宽阔与明亮，在音乐中焕发出的光彩是他六十岁的青春。老家伙更有一把举世无匹的醉人嗓音，温煦而醇厚，与生俱来的就有一种通透的音场感，其实也不用奇怪，爱尔兰这个小国天生就是生产好嗓子的地方。

对于那些拥有梦想确从未实现的人来说，Charlie就是一个榜样，儿时的梦想确在50多岁的时候再实现，需要的不仅是实力，更是勇气。做过邮递员，做过铁路工人，参过军，做过老师，确不曾放弃音乐的梦想。

90年代时他的一首what color of the wind给了他步入歌唱界的机会。到现在为止，这位上了年纪的歌手已经发行了11张专辑。尽管年事已高，不过就和美酒一样，Charlie的声音确越来越有味道。

“What Colour is the Wind(风儿是什么颜色)” 讲述了一个盲孩子试图想象这个世界的故事。95年，这首歌曲的同名专辑，击败了Garth Brooks，取得过爱尔兰专辑榜的NO.1。

从那以后，Chharlie又发行了十张专辑，销量超过70万张，使得他取得爱尔兰流行榜单的第一，他的大部分专辑曾位于英国乡村榜单之首。
