Chinese Science Abstracts (CSAE), established in February 2006, is a bimonthly compilation of abstracts with a subject index, an author index and a key word index covering natural sciences, agriculture, medicine, engineering and technology.

As a companion volume of Chinese Science Abstracts (Chinese Edition) (CSAC), CSAE is considered as the first comprehensive academic retrieval journal in China.

The first issues of the CSAE contain indexed and classified abstracts of approximately 300 selected journals both in Chinese and in English in China.

CSAE is edited, published and distributed by Science and Technology Review Society, subordinated to China Association for Science and Technology. In order to promote exchanges in science and technology with any other countries in the world, and to strengthen ties with foreign scientific and technical workers, Science and Technology Review Society will deliver each issue of CSAE to all important retrieval systems in the world. CSAE will help scientific research institutions, institutions of higher learning, libraries as well as scientific and technical workers to search and get acquainted with China’s latest achievements and developments in scientific research.

l．影响因子（Impact Factor）

可测度近年期刊的学术影响力。该项指标用论文平均被引率反映了期刊近期在科学发展和文献交流中所起的作用。

定义：期刊前2年发表论文的被引次数占前2年论文总量的比例（相对数量指标）。

某刊前两年发表的论文在该年的被引用次数

2．期刊被引频次（

cited numbher of journal）

可测度期刊自创刊以来的学术影响力，是从信息反馈的角度评价期刊的基本指标之一。该项指标从历史的角度，用期刊论文被引用的数量直接反映了期刊在科学发展和文献交流中所起的作用。

定义：自期刊创刊以来全部论文在某一年被引用的总次数（绝对数量指标）。

3．反应速率

（Anm3lacy index）

可测度 期刊论文 被利用的速度以及期刊对学科发展过程中新的科学问题的快速反应程度。

定义：期刊前1年发表论文在评价当年的被引次数占前1年论文总量的比例（相对数量指标）。

4．平均引文率

（mean citing rate）

可测度期刊的平均引文（引证文献）水平，考察期刊论文吸收他人学术思想的水平。平均引文率通常可以反映期刊吸收信息的能力以及科学交流程度的高低。

定义：在给定的时间内，期刊篇均参考文献量（相对数量指标）

可测度某期刊学术交流的广度、专业面的宽窄以及学科的交叉程度。
