万建民,男,1960年出生。博士,博士生导师,“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授,中国农业科学院一级岗位杰出人才。1982年毕业于南京农业大学农学专业,1985年获南京农业大学农学硕士学位,1995年获日本京都大学遗传学博士学位,1996年进入京都大学JSPS从事博士后研究,1997年1月就职于日本农林水产省农业研究中心,先后任研究员和主任研究员。1999年3月被聘为教育部首届“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授,2000年1月回国。在南京农业大学历任生命科学和技术学院院长,农学院院长。

人物简介

万建民,2003年7月起,任中国农科院作物科学研究所所长。现兼任中国作物学会副理事长、中国作物学会分子育种分会主任委员、中国农业生物技术学会副理事长,作物生物技术分会理事长、中国遗传学会理事、中国植物学会常务理事、国家863专家、江苏省三项工程”水稻育种首席专家、江苏省品种审定委员会水稻组主任、中国农科院学术委员会委员、中国水稻所兼职研究员及学术委员会委员等职。

研究方向与主要研究内容

主要从事水稻的基因定位、克隆和品种选育研究。重点围绕水稻品质、超高产、抗病虫、抗逆等性状,构建高密度新型分子标记图谱,开展相关新基因的精细定位、克隆和遗传转化,并进行水稻功能基因组学、蛋白质组学和生物信息学研究;建立和完善分子设计高效育种体系,与常规育种相结合,培育具有市场竞争力的优质水稻新品种。

主要研究成果与业绩

2000年以来,获中国高校自然科学一等奖1项(2000),获中国农科院科技进步二等奖3项(2002~2004),获浙江省科技进步二等奖1项(2006),获江苏省科技进步二等奖1项(2007),申请专利及品种权23项,获得专利及品种授权8项。撰写专著3部,在国内外核心学术期刊发表论文200余篇,其中SCI论文50余篇。2001年获得中国农学会“全国优秀农业科技工作者”称号,江苏省人民政府授予“江苏省农业科技先进工作者”称号,2002年获得“江苏省有突出贡献中青年专家”称号,2003年获得江苏省“五一劳动奖章”,2005年获得国务院特殊津贴和“农业部有突出贡献中青年专家”称号。2006年被评为人事部“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选。
