简介：Simian Mobile Disco是又James Ford和Jas Shaw于2005年在英国伦敦成立的电子乐队。JamesFord除了是Simian Mobile Disco的成员以外，他还与很多乐队合作，如Florence & the Machine，Arctic Monkeys Peaches 和 Klaxons。在2007年以荣获Q、All Music Guide等传媒4星好评的电音大碟‘Attack Decay Sustain Release’。两人在首张专辑打响名号后，瞬间成了Bjork、Muse、Arctic Monkeys、Peaches、Klaxons、Little Boots等艺人/乐团争相邀请担任单曲混音或专辑制作的大忙人，2009年夏季，S.M.D.乐团将以专辑【Temporary Pleasure】掀起另一波的电音热浪。

早期：

英国曼彻斯特大学的同学James Ford与Jas Shaw，一个主修生物学，一个主修哲学，这两个同学没事就爱在学校宿舍搞一些怪里怪气的电音派对，两人跟深受民谣音乐启发的创作型歌手Simon Lord与弹贝斯的Alex MacNaughten在2000年的时候，跟随着当时由Broadcast、The Beta Band等乐团所带起的一种结合传统摇滚歌曲创作与电音节奏的潮流风格，组了一个名叫Simian的电子摇滚乐团，由于James与Jas不喜欢他们好像是在一支摇滚乐团中负责节奏操盘的感觉，Simian在2005年宣告拆伙，两人另组了Simian Mobile Disco(以下简称S.M.D.)乐团。SMD最早他们发行了一些单曲。比如在I'm A Cliche 发行的"The Mighty Atom / Boatrace / Upside Down"和在Kitsune Music发行的"The Count"。但是明显的，他们通过这些单曲，他们的名气比他们为一些著名乐队混音的单曲如Muse, Klaxons, The Go! Team, Air 等的更要著名。2006年Kitsune Music发行了SMD与纽约一名女主唱Char Johnson.合作的的地下名曲"HUSTLER"

Attack Decay Sustain Release (2007)

这个乐队的首张专辑Attack Decay Sustain Release发行于2007年6月18日。专辑包括大热曲目如"Hustler","Tits and Acid", "I Believe", "Hot Dog"和与英国乐队The Go! Team女主唱Ninja合作的 "It's the Beat"，这张专辑也包括五首新曲，欧美版赠送黑胶唱片。 唱片曲目也被混音后当作电视剧歌曲。

SMD2007年12月5日为Klaxons在Brixton Academy助演 ，2007年12月9日和2007年12月12日为The Chemical Brothers在Aintree Pavilion和Brighton Centre助演。

Temporary Pleasure (2008-2009)

当他们制作第二张专辑时，他们发行了一张混音版专辑Sample And Hold。这张专辑包括11首歌曲，与2008年7月在英国发行。2009年1月，他们在自己的Myspace主页上宣布将在2009年发行新专辑。在2月12日他们发布了第一首单曲"Synthesise"和其MV。两天后，一首叫"10,000 Horses Can't Be Wrong"的歌曲在BBC Radio 1上播放。3月6日在他们的Youtube频道上发布了官方MV。

他们的第二张专辑Temporary Pleasure在5月6日发行，他们与很多音乐人合作了这张专辑，如Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, Beth Ditto of Gossip,和Chris Keating of Yeasayer。Delicatessen & Delicacies (2010-present)　　在为他们为BBC Radio 1制作的歌曲宣传期间，他们暗示期待会在2010年发行第三张专辑。

2010年3月，DJ Duo宣布说会举办 Club Night Project－－'Delicatessen'。并会在5月下旬在此活动上发布第首单曲。最新的两首单曲为"Aspic" 和"Nerve Salad".。SMD说他们新专辑的每首单曲都是以异国元素命名，并表示这样非常新奇，和“美味”。
