雷奕安，男，博士，北京大学物理学院副教授，博士生导师。1995年于北京大学物理系获得理学博士学位。1995年至1997年在中科院理论物理所从事博士后研究。1997年7月开始在北京大学物理学院任教，从事原子核理论、量子力学、计算物理等方面的研究。2002年1月至2003年7月在美国内布拉斯加大学林肯分校访问，从事高性能计算，分子动力学等方面的研究。2007年1月至2007年4月在美国加州大学Irvine分校访问，从事等离子体理论和聚变方面的研究。常年为北京大学物理学院本科一年级学生开设计算概论课程。
