词条 | writing 2 for unit 1 |
释义 | As we all know, it has been a complex topic for a long time that how to find happiness. With this question, I read the article for the second time. In paragraph two, the use of sentence “some sages … and others…some that… and others…some that… and others…” is to show us that everyone has his/her own definition of happiness, regardless of any period you live in. Some happiness comes from knowing the truth. May be they want to be treated honestly and they want to know the reality even the truth is horrible. But I believe that occasional write lies can also bring happiness. Some comes from getting rid of age and misery. Definitely, how can you feel happy when you are rage and how to become cheerful when you are misery? The fourth paragraph mentions that the age gives no clue to well-being but emotions do change with age. But the last sentence makes me confused. What is the relationship between happiness and the phenomenon that the rates of depression, suicide, and divorce show no increase during the “mid-life crisis” years? What is this sentence used here for? |
