| 释义 | Today, I tried to finish the 2nd half of this passage. Now, I want to talk about some of my understandings of this section. In 9th paragraph, the autor used a new "irresistible" to describe cheating. I can see that cheating is a serious problem through this word. Cheating is something people can't avoid it （去掉）easily. A lot of people get used to it. Then the author introduced （ to}another topic. Is cheating human nature.(?) A mother of a nursery schooler thought that cheating is something common and a part of human nature. I don't agree with this mother. I think human nature is something without the influence of external environment. You can't avoid it, because it's in your mind. I think cheating is something caused by competition and evaluation. If we just do something alone withot any pressure from external environmental, I think we won't cheat. And there is some other things support the thoughts of cheating. I agree with the mother in some way. Cheating is really too common in our society. People have got used to it. When we are talking about cheating, we say it's not a big deal or it's nothing. Even it's something (worth)to celebrate if someone cheats successfully in the exam. There are so much regulation (so many regulations)for avoiding cheating. But they seems to be useless. Someone who cheats don't (doesn't)care about it. They just do it and they need not to take any responsibility unless(when) they are caught. There are some other kinds of method (methods)used to avoid cheating. Some experts want to avoid cheating through change the purpose of the exam. Exam is something related with (to)education. It is an evaluating tool of the educational system.I think it is not a good method. First, it is not so easy to change the purpose of exam. It is nealy the change of the whole educational system. Then even the schools can give up exam, I think the society can't give it up as an important tool. In the 16th paragraph, I found a difficult to understand the sentence " they are worried whether". It's really a strange sentence for me. The word "whether" means something alternative. But what does it means here? It's really a question bothered me . I agree with what the Beverly Betz. If we want to avoid cheating in some ways ,what we should do is changing childs mind. Exam can't be something which is the most important. Learning is the most important thing in my opinion. |
