惠永正，男，1939年12月生，江苏苏州人。1962年毕业于北京大学化学系；1962年9月，中科院上海有机化学研究所从事研究工作曾任副所长、所长；1990-1998.03国家科委副主任，1998.04-2000.03科技部副部长。2000年3月退休。

主要工作成就

惠永正早期从事物理有机化学研究，系统地研究了糖淀粉极其衍生物作为宿主体系的宿主－客体化学， 随后研究领域扩展到计算机化学和微泡体化学。近年来主要从事微泡体化学和糖化学研究，包括长链、多氟代长链化物的微泡体的性质和生物合功能模拟: 复杂寡糖的化学合成及糖缀合物中糖链与生物功能之间关系的研究。早年曾从事计算机化学和微环境效应研究，曾获全国科学大会奖(1978)，中科院科学进步一等奖(1986)，国家自然科学三等奖(1988)，和中科院发明一等奖(1997)。至今共发表论文71篇。共培养硕士研究生7，博士研究生6名，合作培养博士生8名。
