哈罗恩 塔杰耶夫 (Haroun Tazieff)，（1914年5月11出生于波兰华沙，1998年2月2日在巴黎去世）是法国 火山学家和地质学家 。 著名的火山喷发和熔岩流动摄影技师，也写过几本关于火山的书籍。

出生于波兰华沙（当时为沙俄统治） ，他的父亲是一名鞑靼籍医生，母亲则是一名政治科学方面的医生和化学家。 他从1917年开始住在比利时首都布鲁塞尔。

他曾在1938年获得Gembloux农学学士学位，1944年获得列日大学学士地质学学位。 他的“写字台行政法院”在法国起到了重大风险防范作用。

美国国家地理电影《暴力地球》改编自塔杰耶夫在1971年远征火山西西里岛的埃特纳火山。1972年他曾尝试下到活跃的刚果主义共和国的尼拉贡戈火山（当时称为扎伊尔）熔岩湖中收集样本，但并未成功。

塔杰耶夫于1998年2月2日去世于法国巴黎，死后被安葬在巴黎的德帕西公墓。

Why does Tazieff risk his life like this?

[00:06.20]Haroun Tazieff,the Polish scientist,

[00:09.25]has spent his lifetime studying active volca-noes and deep caves in all parts of the world

[00:15.73]In 1948,he went to Lake Kivu in the Congo

[00:20.07]to observe a new volcano which he later named Kituro.

[00:24.62]Tazieff was able to set up his camp very close to the volcano

[00:29.09]while it was erupting violently.

[00:31.94]Though he managed to take a number of brilliant photographs,

[00:35.74]he could not stay near the volcano for very long.

[00:39.52]He noticed that a river of liquid rock was coming towards him.

[00:44.19]It threatened to surround him completely,

[00:46.94]but Tazieff managed to escape just in time.

[00:50.84]He waited until the volcano became quiet and he was able to return two days later.

[00:57.39]This time,he managed to climb into the mouth of Kituro
