德伊混血歌手Mehrzad Marashi，1980年出生于伊朗，是德国选秀节目Deutschland sucht den Superstar第七季冠军。

Mehrzad Marashi6岁时，由于伊朗战争，他与家人来到德国汉堡。在12岁时，他发现他对音乐的热爱，当时他写了自己的第一首歌。这首歌原来是一首诗，但Mehrzad Marashi说：“我在其中加入了自己的旋律，我很快意识到听起来还不赖”。Mehrzad Marashi最喜欢的音乐人包括Xavier Naidoo、Lionel Richie 和Boyz to Men。后来他加入了福音合唱团，那儿的老师很快就注意到他的才华。几年后，他和两个朋友组了一个乐队叫“Realize”，乐团翻唱的是Boyz to Men的热门歌曲。几年后乐团解散，而Mehrzad还一个人继续着自己的音乐之旅。梦想能够成为一名成功的歌手，他进入了音乐学院，也是在那儿他学会了钢琴。最后由于经济问题，他结束了自己的学习生活。

但是他并没有放弃，以"Marasco"这个艺名，他遇到了一些录音室的制作人并且也录制了几首歌，歌曲的风格是德国R&B。后来他把自己的几首歌放到Youtube上，获得了一些成功。他的两首歌“Shila”和“I cant tak”获得了一百万次的点击率，而且他的一首"Es tut mir leid" ("Im sorry")更是获得了一百五十万次的点击率。他也迅速成为了网络红人，但是在排行榜上却没有很好的表现，他的那首“She gone”也与Top 100失之交臂，而很快Mehrad也失去录音合同。成为成功歌手的努力再一次宣告失败。

Mehrzad报名参加2009年德国偶像（德语：eutschland sucht den Superstar，英语：German Idol），并获得冠军。
