EQUIS是欧洲管理发展基金会(EFMD)创办的一个以认证为形式，对高等管理教育机构进行质量评价，推动教育进步的国际认证体系。由于EFMD以致力于服务全球管理教育为理念，因此并没有把EQUIS的重点放在哪种特定的高等管理教育项目上，也不只是集中于MBA 项目，而是将其基本工作内容定位在辨别各种高等管理教育方法——包括本科和研究院课程——的异同及其优势，其基本目标是提高全世界的高等管理教育水平。

欧洲EQUIS教育认证制度简介

作为一个国际权威机构，EQUIS是从整体来评价认证对象，认证过程非常严谨。就MBA项目认证来说，EQUIS认证时，除要求高等管理教育机构提供证明其在本国内拥有高水平的教学标准的有力证据以外，还要求该机构课程必须高度国际化，学生必须具备全球使命感；除要求机构制订完备的学习计划以外，还要推动商业研究工作；此外，EQUIS认为高等管理教管机构与工商业界之间应密切联系，保持专业理论知识和商业实践之间的平衡。

今天，EQUIS除了为欧洲14个国家的不同高等管理教育机构进行认证以外，在亚洲、美洲和非洲也都有成功的认证案例。EQUIS认证要求做一个预先调查，然后是正式申请、资格研究、自我评估、国际专家审查、授予认证资格，在必要时还给予指导。

欧洲EQUIS特点

EQUIS不宣扬标准化，它崇尚项目形式的多样性、学院的多样性。EQUIS提倡相互学习，互相借鉴优秀的实践经验和相互认可。EUQIS对院校整体进行评估认证。它不仅对学位项目，而且对院校所有活动、所有部门进行评估，包括科研、远程教育、高层管理人员教育等。但是，相应学院必须主要致力于管理学教育。EQUIS寻求高质量的教学和与团体机构互动交流带来的专业性的平衡。与商界的交流平台就是尽可能挖掘研究潜能。EQUIS非常重视高效率教学环境的建设，高效率的教学环境有助于培养学生管理和创业能力，增强他们的全球责任感。同时，它寻求全方位的创新，包括项目设计和教学法的创新。我国知名的中欧管理学院仅有EQUIS一项。

EuropeanQuality Improvement System，中文译作欧洲质量发展认证体系，是由总部设在比利时布鲁塞尔的欧洲管理发展基金会(European Foundation for Management Development，EFMD)所开展的国际性管理教育质量认证体系，也是欧洲最严格的质量认证体系。自1997年创立至2010年12月，共有36个国家的129所商学院获得认证。获得认证的学校最新名单，可从EQUIS的网址获得。

观点争议

诺丁汉大学商学院成功通过了EQUIS认证（欧洲质量认证体系）。此前，EQUIS专家分别到英国诺丁汉大学、诺丁汉大学马来西亚校区及宁波诺丁汉大学进行现场评估，对学校的课程设置、学术研究与发展、资源与管理、对社会的贡献、与企业的联系、国际化发展、师资、学生、学生服务等10大方面进行严格考核。 诺丁汉大学商学院（中国）作为诺大商学院的有机组成部分，也同时通过了EQUIS认证。

英国诺丁汉大学商学院院长Leigh Drake表示，“非常高兴我们能一起加入到世界顶级商学院的队伍中，全球7000多所大学的商学院中只有128所能获此殊荣。这让我们对诺丁汉大学的美好未来以及学校的国际化战略更加充满了信心，这充分证明了我们的师资水平、学生素质、项目和设备的先进程度已经完全达到世界领先水平。我们为诺丁汉大学商学院的杰出成就感到无比的骄傲和自豪。EQUIS非常注重国际合作及对社会的贡献，非常感谢我们的校友以及合作伙伴为此付出的努力与汗水。”

也有观点认为，某些媒体所报道的宁波诺丁汉大学商学院（中国） 获得EQUIS认证是不准确的。因为，在EQUIS的官方网站上，获得认证的主体是英国诺丁汉大学商学院而没有中国的宁波诺丁汉商学院。宁波诺丁汉大学商学院只是作为英国诺丁汉大学商学院的一个国际校区或组成部分参与了认证，跟英国以及马来西亚等地的校区一起成为被认证的组成部分而已，但并非作为单独的主体学院被认证，也就是说，宁波诺丁汉大学商学院并不是可以单独拥有认证资格的主体。

国际认证是依据国际标准对商学院或管理学院进行评价，因此获得EQUIS的认证表明上述学院在国际化方面获得国际同行的认同，是可以用来作为评价我国国内一流商学院的一个重要依据。
