Although Cody's parents have been divorced since he was 1,they cooperate to raise their children and stepchildren. His mother is an acting coach, his father is a hair dresser and miniature golf enthusiast, lives just 10 minutes away from his mother's house, and Linley spends every other weekend with his father and three stepbrothers.He has one biological brother, Chad, and three stepbrothers named Ben,Scotty,Jason.Cody goes to Lewisville High School at Lewisville for half of the year, while other half in a school of Los Angeles.
