Dr Chen graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with M.B.A in 1978 , and he has completed the course from the resident to the head of Internal Medicine since 1978 at Dongzhimen Hospital, affiliated with the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Chen has been engaged in Chinese medicine and integrated TCM with Western medicine clinical care for 28 years. He has majored in internal medicine of TCM and hematological and oncological diseases. In many diseases like abnormal myelodysplastic syndrome, aplastic anemia, refractory purpura haemorrhagica, hypoferric anemia, acute leukemia, lung cancer, hepatoma, he has his own peculiar opinions and has got significant curative effect. In recent years, he has mainly dealed with clinical study of prophylaxis or reverse multidrug resistance of leukemia with Chinese medicine. Up until now, he has cultivated over 30 masters, 15 doctors and 2 post doctors, and several of them had been working in post-doctoral circulating station famous university or research institute like Tsinghua University, academy of military medical sciences, Virginia University of America. As one of the backbones of our university, he has presided over one important topic of tackling key problems in science and technology of the ninth 5-year-program, presided over and participated in one important topic of tackling key problems in science and technology of the tenth 5-year-program, 3 topics of national natural science fund committee, 3 topics of scientific research fund of Ministry of Health, 4 topics of special-purpose for doctorship-awarded units of university of ministry of education, 2 topics of scientific research fund of State Administration of TCM, 2 important cooperate projects of capital medical developing fund and 6 projects of scientific research fund of Beijing university of TCM. Dr. Chen was served as one of new drug judging experts of state food and drug administration bureau, one of judging experts of middle and small business creation fund of ministry of technology, one of new drug judging commission of ministry of technology, judging commission of state key new products counseling experts of state basic medical insurance expert of malpractice evaluation committee of the Chinese medical association(CMA), and one of judging experts of plan of state key new drugs member of Beijing laboring evaluation committee member of malpractice evaluation committee of Dongcheng District, Beijing .
