释义 | Stanmore StationStanmore railway station is a railway station located on the Inner West Line of the CityRail network in Sydney, Australia. It serves the inner-western suburb of Stanmore. It receives 4 services an hour on weekdays and 2 on weekends. The Inner West line uses the two southernmost tracks of the six tracks passing through the station. Stanmore has a side platforms and an island platform, meaning that one platform face is adjacent to a track where trains rarely stop. HistoryA station opened at Stanmore in 1878. The Main Suburban Railway Line through Stanmore was quadruplicated in 1892, and sextuplicated in 1927 in association with electrification works. The island platform between the 'Down Suburban' and 'Up Local' tracks was the original station house and entrance, this became the current island platform on completion of quadruplication works in 1892. Platforms/ServicePlatform 1: Not currently in use - used only by trains during trackwork or in emergencies. Platform 2: Inner West Line - all stations services to Central and the City Circle (clockwise). Platform 3: Inner West Line - all stations services to Lidcombe and Liverpool (Lidcombe trains proceeding via the Bankstown Line.) Transport LinkSydney Buses runs one route via Stanmore station: Route 412 - East to King Street Wharf and Campsie station.
