学校始建于1957年。初建之时，由北京石油学院承办。1968年划属东升人民公社管理。1979年归属海淀区教育局领导。现今隶属海淀区教育委员会管辖，分属海淀区东升中心学区负责范围。

学校于2004年，经海淀区教育委员会布局调整，由北京石油学院附属小学和海淀区志新第二小学合并，校名沿用现名。学校现有教职员工150人，学生2500余人。校址地分两处，占地16974平方米，建筑面积13331平方米，教学设施齐全，办公系统完备。

2007年，学校领导班子进行调整，吴谨同志任学校校长，担任法人代表；东升中心学区党总支书记、校长常有盛同志兼任学校党支部书记。

——学校注重人文管理，队伍建设完善。学校着力抓班子建设，促制度化落实；抓教师培养，促专业化发展；抓团队凝聚，促人文化管理。领导班子现有10人，另有后备干部2人，综合素质全面，专业技能突出；肯于顾全大局，协调配合；善于独当一面，尽职尽责；工作效果好，群众认可高。

学校拥有一支敬业爱岗、年富力强，学历有高度、专业有优势的教师队伍。学校具有本科学历和本科在读的教师占专任教师的94.5%，海淀区学科带头人8人，海淀区骨干教师13人，东升学区学科带头人9人，各级骨干教师占专任教师的25%。

学校近年先后派出百余人次，赴香港、深圳、山东、浙江、广州等地考察学习，同时派出6人赴加拿大、新加坡、澳大利亚进行专项培训。2007年海淀区“世纪杯”教学竞赛中，学校11人被推荐代表东升学区参赛，受到好评。学校先后开展“做学生喜爱的教师，当素质教育的先锋”等教育活动，教师群体团结向上，学校局面稳定和谐。

2005年，海淀区教研室抽测我校六年级1 班数学，48名同学全部满分；2007年海淀区教委抽测全区五年级语文、数学、英语，我校成绩优异，三科优秀率全部超过全区的平均水平，其中部分指标超过平均分近20分。

学校设立的《课堂教学策略与教学行为发展的研究》等课题，被列为海淀区“十一五”重点课题。同时，学校致力于英语校本课程的开发。学生听说领先，读写超前，赢得了陈琳教授等专家的高度认可。英语教研组在2007年全国英语年会上作经验介绍。今年举行的首届英语节，集中展示了英语教学的丰硕成果。

文艺培养

学校为学生搭设才艺展示的舞台，每年举办艺术节、体育节、科技月，开设了叶画、船模、单片机、十字绣、采珠串编、创意拼贴等50多个兴趣小组，管乐团、合唱团、舞蹈团，参加海淀区比赛均荣获到一等奖。朗诵队多次承担市、区大型会议献辞，并圆满完成任务。

Brief Introduction

The Affiliated Primary School of Beijing Petroleum College (APSBPC) is located in XueyuanRoad in Haidian District and is embraced by eight famous universities and colleges. In its neighborhood, the Badaling Highway lies in the east; the Petroleum Exploration Academy is in the west; the University of Science and Technology Beijing lies in the south; and the China Agricultural University exists in the north. The main campus is located at No.20 Xueyuan Road in Haidian District (with the geographic location of Longitude(E) 116 °21′28.38″and Latitude(N) 39°59′38.18″); the branch campus is located at No. 25, Zhixin Road (with the geographic location of Longitude(E) 116 °21′41.28″and Latitude(N) 39°59′15.28″).

In 1957, the school was first built under the Beijing Petroleum College. In 1968, it was under the administration of Dong Sheng People’s Commune. In 1979, the school was managed by the Education Bureau of Haidian District. Now, it is under the administration of the Education Committee of Haidian District, and belongs to the Dong Sheng central education area.

After adjustment by the Education Committee of Haidian District in 2004, the school was formed by the combination of the Petroleum Primary School affiliated to Beijing Petroleum College and the Second Zhixin Primary school of Haidian District without changing the name. By now, there are altogether 150 teachers and other staff, and more than 2500 students. There are two campuses, with total area of 16974 square meters, and the building area of 13331 square meters. There are all kinds of teaching facilities and there is a mature office system.

In 2007, the leadership team got adjusted and Comrade Wu Jin has become the principal of the school, who is also the legal representative; Chang Yousheng, principal and Party’s Secretary General of the Dong Sheng Central Education Area, has become the Secretary General of the school’s Party Branch.

The school has a powerful and highly-educated teaching team with great professional advantages. In recent years, the school has altogether send out more than 100 people to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shandong, Zhejiang, Guangzhou for visiting and learning. In 2007, 11 people have been recommended to participate the Haidian “Century Cup” Mathematics Contest on behalf of Dong Sheng Education Area and have got high appreciation. During the mathematics examination organized by the teaching and research office of Haidian District in 2005, Class one, Grade six of our school had done a good job with all the 48 students gaining the full mark; during examinations of Chinese, mathematics and English organized by the Education Committee of Haidian District, our school performed very well, the excellent rates of the three examinations had all gone beyond the average level, and some even exceeded with more than 20 points.

Projects such as Research on the strategy of classroom teaching and the development of teaching activities have been accepted as main projects of Haidian District during the 11th five-year period. Meanwhile, the school has dedicated itself to the development of self-oriented English course. The students are taking a leading position with regard to listening, speaking, reading and writing, and have been highly praised by experts such as Professor Chen Lin. Each year, the school will organize the Arts Festival, the S&T Month and the Physical Festival; there are also more than 50 interest clubs such as leaf painting, ship model, cross stitch, single chip; Moreover, our school’s wind band, glee club and dancing club have all won the first during contests of Haidian District. The recitation team had undertaken many times the task of dedication for large events of the city or the district.
