始创于1993年的上海市民办东方阶梯双语学校，是经上海市教委批准，由始创于阶梯教育集团投资创办的一所九年一贯制民办双语学校。

长期以来，学校秉承阶梯教育集团先进的教育理念，依托其先进的网络教育平台，引进外籍教师参与教学。学校出按照上海市教委统一规定的课程正常教学之外，还特别开设了双语音乐、美术、科学、表演等学校课程，并正在筹备开设数位音乐、环保创艺等特色课程。学生视野开阔、性格开朗、多才多艺。历年来初中毕业生考入市、区重点高中的比例超过70%，在民办学校中名列前茅。

The “Shanghai Oriental Ladder Bilingual School” （SOLBS）, founded in 1993, is approved by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission as a privately-owned elementary and middle school invested by the Ladder Group.

The mission of the school is to provide students an excellent education using high integration of multimedia and technology as well as a team of talented teachers. In addition to the standard courses required by the municipal government, our school offers specially designed bilingual courses in music, art, science, and performance. We have also developed courses in “Digital Music” and “Recycling Creativity,” allowing our students to expand their horizons, minds, and talents.
