释义 | writing I have read the article of finding happiness carefully for the second time. I found there were a number of interesting phenomena in words and sentences. The author was familiar with the way what readers were thought about. He opened his passage with three questions which were always held by almost every person. So, he succeeded in drawing the attention of readers. The word "mushroom" gave expression to the difference between Chinese culture and British culture. In general, Englishmen get into habit of using the verb mushroom to describe “something is developping rapidly” while Chinese prefer "bamboo shoot". When I read the second paragraph, the word "pursuit" appealed to me. I wondered to know what's the meaning of it. Therefore, I looked for it. I got to know it meant that “an activity to which someone gives his time”. I was curious to see what's the collocation of "pursuit". As a result, I got them in the dictionary. For example, the phrase "in pursuit of " meant while trying to get. I didn't agree with that happiness had a favorite sex. I didn't think men were happier than women or women were happier than men. In my opinion, happiness favored people who had a good characteristic such as outgoing, confident and the like. |
