Today I read the paragraph 9 to paragraph 17.

After reading paragraph 9, I find the sentence ‘students still offer papers written by term-paper companies’ is difficult for me to understand. There are two verbs in one sentence that are unfamiliar to me. I puzzled over the question for quite a while. Finally, I work out the question. The meaning is “‘students still offer papers which written by term-paper companies”. I have most interest in the word ‘still’. The author uses this word twice which is unusual for me. We can get some useful information in it, first we know that students often offer papers which not written by themselves. Second they often peek at each other's tests. From the word “still” we also find the students’ action let author very disappoint.

In paragraph 10, author asks us two questions.” Is cheating human nature’? In my opinion, cheating is human nature. There is no doubt that anyone has been cheating. For example, People play cards and use prop on the internet. Do parents and teachers encourage it by their own attitudes? I think they do not willing to see that. Children cheat, neither their parents nor teaches hope so. If they discover that children cheat at the exam, they will criticize children.

However, No one seems much bothered about cheating in youngsters, it surprise me. Parents understand cheating. For instance, a mother says "My little boy doesn't like to lose, when plays games be, so he cheats. The reason why she says this is that she does the same as the children when she was young. but she also worried about whether cheating might affect studying.

"I give open-book problems without unique solutions," said Stanley R. Liberty, "Students know there's an unbelievably low probability of two people coming up with the same approach.” I agree with him. Currently, open-book exam has been the order of the day. This does demonstrate the theory. It is clear that open-book exam can avoid cheating. Through the answer in the book, we should find out, then use ourselves’ language to answer the question, besides, we would like write down what teachers write on the blackboard in the class or we will can not find the answer when we take exams. This is disadvantage to our study. Besides, children must be helped to develop enough self-esteem to make occasional failure an unthreatening prospect and enough of a sense of right and wrong to overcome the urge to cheat.
