| 释义 | This essay focuses on cheating which is contradictory to “honesty”, the theme of Unit four. One meaning of “alive” is still living in the world from which we could know that cheating have a long history, whether in domestic or abroad. Probably it appeared along with that of human being. After all cheating is considered as a preventative to the different emotions of us. And “flourishing” is chose to predict the active develop trend of cheating. As we know, cheating is not a good behavior although there are white lies among us. Nevertheless, these two words above are obviously containing good meanings. What’s the aim the author picks up? Could I refer to that cheating keeps optimistic prospective by the author in a different angel? A comparison between cheating and eating pattern was given to stress the popularity of cheat in nowadays in the first part. Although I didn’t get the definite meaning of “handle”, I could guess what the writer want to express——a complicated phenomenon which around us but always [can’t] be omit. The example in [the] fifth paragraph is so common, so typical in our life that we take it just as a habit. On newspaper, TV or radio, we may hear frequently that one was died under people’s fighting because of his stealing. In University, students copy from one to one in the final examination while the teacher stays outside enjoying a cup of tea. Somebody may claim that these two situations belong to different character [characters] and different extent [extents]. In other word, they back this attitude of the students. Whatever that’s cheating, it’s the same to me. As I am a college student, I can’t sure that I had never cheat [cheated] in homework, exam or any other things, for I have many reasons. Then that’s the problem. We always find excuses to escape the cheating and reduce the sense of remorse. The word “drive” in passage sixth refers to “compel”, which more serious in tone than “make” or “cause”. From the content, we can find out one essential reason to explain children’s cheating. As the psychologist suggest, cheating can be deal with in home, then we can conclude that the creation of cheat probably related to home or the family. Children, who’s age may lower than 12, are like to imitate especially the person he familiar with, such as parent. Then in which position could they take, I mean the parents or the adults, criticize the children on account of their mistakes——cheating after the inconsistent behavior of themselves. |
