| 释义 | As former passages, the author used several “want” in the forth passage to express workers’ thoughts. From the sentences, I could consider that the author take individual at a high position. I agreed to the idea that improves the sense of self-valued. It is reasonable for workers to understand themselves well in their companies(company). Then, the function of a proposition “in” in the last sentence of this passage puzzled me a lot. For there is a word “contribute”, I believed that there would be a word “to”. After all, it’s accepted as a fixed phrase. To my surprise, “in” was instead of “to” here. It had no agreement during the discussion with other persons. It must be another sort of “contribute” which I had never seen before. It might be a new one appeared recently, I guessed. The writer gave us a concrete example to support the workers’ idea or we could say his. Although I didn’t know who Compaq is, it must be a famous company in the world. It seemed that taking a well-know company as example would be more convincing than ordinary ones(one). Obviously, he did that. As to the management about Compaq Company, it was wealth of referencing(referenced). While, we should take one thing into account that is more and more employees are willing to change their jobs frequently because they want to accumulate more experience about different works, especially the young, not only for the unbearable stress. As I said in the first paragraph, nowadays people pay more attention to the individual development. And “constant push” was the difficult phrase I couldn’t cope with by myself, which I equaled(equal) to bad attitude about workers from employers. |
