| 释义 | What interests me very much when I read through this paragraph was an obvious difference, which compared with other articles. That is she used four “and I think if ……” here, and made “then I think……” as the end of this sentence. So to be exact, there are only three sentences in twenty-third passage. I like this sentence for it could made long and complicated sentence to be a short and simple one. I didn’t understand “and clap and cheer while ……” very well. Could I see it as both or following or any others? In the other part, showing off, boast, brag and overdo, I had to admire the abundance of the author’s vocabulary. As a writer, she have the capital of showing off which I had to acknowledge. Another problem was the word “count”. Calculating was the only meaning of it in my memory. So in here a misunderstanding came up. Since I resorted to the dictionary, I knew it suddenly. It could be view as consider or esteem on the other hand. The second question appeared when I had just deal with the first one. It is: if count can be used as consider, then why the writer wrote this sentence ---“does not count as quitting”? It should be “does not be count as quitting” because it is a passive sentence. A special style of consideration which created by the author, or my misinterpretation of grammar for one more time? |
