My thought is wrong. ‘In-box’ means ‘a place on a computer where email messages which are sent to you are kept’, so ‘out-box’ means ‘a place on a computer where copies of email messages which you send are kept’ and here ‘paper’ stands for ‘document’. It is a simple work. The author sets this example in order to show that mindless tasks will destroy workers’ motivation and productivity.
