词条 | unit2-6 |
释义 | With the question in the paragraph 6 started the following reading. It says everyone has their sort of need to show off. I agreed with it very much. And I guess the “immune” means “along, individual and so on” because of the former sentence. In the(去掉) fact I was wrong. Maybe explain it as “avoid, run out of” is more suitable. It is the same when(as) the author says “boast, trashy to hoot one’s horn and strut one’s stuff”. They all mean to seek attention or name-drop. A more accepted and forgive way of showing off. Does showing off need to forgive? I don’t think so. Everybody have(has) their own rights to attract attention. I am hopeless to see that the author seems to have a totally different idea with me. He talks about the offensive of the show off. In the article he says the showing off is not acceptable and is never nice. So strange .showing off motivated a fierce competitiveness he says. Although I don’t agree the showing off is unacceptable I couldn’t against this fact. The author narcissistic is a kind of showoffs people(去掉) who can do anything to stay and to be the center of attention. A much directed criticism. Dose the narcissistic(narcissist) do all the things without other means? I don’t think so. |
