美国的乡村歌手Lyle Lovett就是大嘴美女Julia Roberts朱莉亚罗伯茨的前夫，1957年11月1日出生于得克萨斯州Klein的一个距离休斯顿北面25英里的小镇上。他在德洲A&M大学攻读新闻和德语。那时他受一些有才能的作曲家Guy Clark、Jerry Jeff Walker、Townes Van Zandt的影响开始写歌。1984年Clark把Lovett的Demo磁带给了Tony Brown后，Lovett两年后与MCA签约。Lyle以他出色的创作才能登上Cowboy Man的第十名。后来他以巡演的方式扩大了他的听众群，之后他继续发行专集，开始了他的演出生涯，并且和大嘴美女Julia Roberts于1993年结婚，1995年离异。
