剧情

瑞克是一名中学教师，他婚姻失败、工作也不顺利，被调离了原来的工作单位，派往一所叫布兰登的学校任校长。这所中学因暴力犯罪而臭名昭著。在这所学校里，吸毒贩毒、抢劫、强奸等几乎所有的暴力行为都已经是家常便饭，逃课、拒考等更是没有人来管，到这里任校长的人都没有好结果。但瑞克一心想要将学校治理好，于是他制定了“禁止”章程。但在第一次的全体学生大会上，学生集团头目邓肯就给了瑞克一个下马威。瑞克和以邓肯为代表的暴力团伙之间的较量开始了。学校中逐渐接受了瑞克制定的管理制度的学生和老师遭到了邓肯团伙的袭击，瑞克对此非常恼火和自责，但邓肯的这种行为并没有动摇瑞克改变校风的决心，瑞克坚持要和邓肯较量到底，把这个害群之马绳之以法……虽然他的决心与作风引起社会与警方的不满，但最后他获得胜利，改变了学校的形象。
