在玉米田的小孩的这一部中，邪教组织领导不再是小孩子了，这次换了一个中年怪男子，他统领着孩儿们。而一群青年从城市而来，车子坏掉，因此闯入怪异的乡村小镇，多么熟悉的情节！LUke,一个老男人，在这个城镇中掌握一票孩子，高坐在邪教之王的位置上。不过luke似乎是一个傀儡，他最终的原型是什么，这个剧情中没有最终揭露，但似乎是藏在人身体中的异型。他和警长同归于尽。然后女主角杀死了一个首领小男孩。整体片子的结尾稍显唐突，但很有隐喻性，我真得不能彻底看明白。本片线索是女主角的弟弟进入了这个邪教，而女主角为了不惜生命的拯救弟弟，但最终弟弟还是死去。这一情节很感人，这是这个系列有史以来第一次有感人情节的剧情出现，也算是纳入新世纪恐怖片范畴的标志，整体拍摄手法也开始逐渐如流，摆脱了经典的荒诞恐怖的老美恐片感觉。片尾曲十分出色，忧伤唯美。
