DAVID TENIERS （比利时人1610-1690) SCHOOL

Teniers 于1610年出生于比利时的安特卫普。

DAVID TENIERS (BELGIUM 1610-1690) SCHOOL

This artist was born in the Belgian City Of Antwerp in 1610. His father, son and grandson were artist as well. Through his father he was influenced indirectly by the most famous artist, Peter-Paul Rubens.

Teniers became famous with his daily life subjects of farmers in pubs or people celebrating in villages. The beautiful effects of lights and shades made him popular. The governor of Spanish-Holland appointed him not only as painter, but also as keeper of his collection of pictures.

Today over 900 paintings are “AFTERNOONS” for the little time he spent to produce them.

The museums in Madrid, Peters Burg, Paris, London and Monica more then 200 of his paintings.
