The capricious composer/techno wunderkind Dan Deacon's 'Bromst' sees him expand on his avant-garde roots and deliver analbum of more accessible but still-intriguing electronic songs. Given that much of Deacon's previous material deals in found sound experiments and minimalist/modernist techniques,it is commendable that this release balances such catchy melodies with devilish intricacy. This is Deacon's second album released on the increasingly-influential Car Park record label, and the album that sees him become a commercially in-demand artist.
