Nepenthes veitchii

维奇猪笼草是原产于婆罗洲。多存在于婆罗洲北西部，也可在加里曼丹地区（Kalimantan）发现。维奇通常属于一种附生植物，而生活在Bario 地区的维奇猪笼草却只在地表生长，没有攀爬的习性。

弗雷德里克·威廉·伯比奇（Frederick William Burbidge）在他的专著（the Gardener's Chronicle）中对维奇猪笼草进行了以下描述。维奇猪笼草生长在20到100英尺高的树干上，而从未发现它生长在地上。这种生活习性在猪笼草是独一无二的。他的叶子紧紧的扣住树干，就像一个人用手臂包住树干一样。

奥多阿多·贝卡利（Odoardo Beccari）1865年在Mount Santubong的山顶发现了维奇猪笼草。他在他的笔记中写下了内容。

这是一种相当美丽且稀有的猪笼草。我得到了一些有10英寸长的捕虫笼标本。这种猪笼草最为引人注目的是它亮黄色的唇。这明亮的黄色唇是引诱昆虫落入笼子的绝佳陷阱。
