童恒庆，武汉理工大学教授，数理统计学博士，计算数学、计算机应用技术等专业的硕士研究生导师，基础数学、计算机应用技术、流体力学等的专业博士研究生导师，现为中国数量经济学会副理事长。 童教授曾主持国家自然科学基金研究项目4项，国家软科学研究项目2项，科技部技术创新基金项目2项。发表学术论文80余篇，其中20余篇被SCI、EI检索。出版了学术著作《经济回归模型及计算》、《理论计量经济学》与电子出版物《数据分析与统计计算软件DASC》，两次获得湖北省科技进步奖。

主要研究成果

1、解决了一些统计模型的大样本理论问题，如多参数指数族经验Bayes估计的收敛速度、方差分量模型参数经验Bayes估计的收敛性，方差分量模型的广义岭估计等，丰富了统计模型的大样本理论。

2、提炼出了一些新的统计模型，如因变量可变而自变量凸约束的评估模型，随机前沿面半参数模型和随机前沿面方差分量模型等，丰富了统计建模的理论。

3、推导出一些新分布和正交多项式，如负指数矩估计等于最大似然估计的齿轮寿命分布（自由行程分布），在全空间连续和可导的正交多项式等，丰富了数理统计的基本理论。

4、提出了一些新的统计算法，如提出了求解评估模型的凸集间的交互投影算法、路径分析的偏最小二乘的最佳迭代初值算法等，丰富了统计计算和数值计算的理论和实践。

5、解决了统计计算编程实现中的一些重要问题，如应用堆栈技术解决了二叉树分析和函数式的编程后输入问题；提出了虚拟软件狗加密方法，为统计计算的广泛应用奠定了基础。
