《迫在眉梢》讲的是发生在芝加哥的故事，一个可谓是名副其实穷苦家庭的故事。父亲只是个临时工，母亲的工作也不是可以很滋润的让一家人生活的幸福，孩子应该的还在读小学吧。整个故事的引线就是孩子的病，在棒球比赛时，孩子突然晕倒，被送到医院，检查的结果是心脏出现问题，唯一的解决办法就是换心，但是这个家庭并不能承受25W美元的巨额费用。

你可能说美国不是有医疗保险的吗，问题就出在美国的医疗保险制度上，她们家庭保险根本就没有包括换心之类的大型手术的费

用，最多只能保2W美元，爸爸妈妈四处去求救，疲于奔命，但是最后还是没办法支付孩子的医疗费用。就在医院要赶孩子出院时，爸爸做出了一个艰难的决定，去劫持主治心脏的那个医生。。。。
