释义 | Today I read paragraph6 and paragraph7 of the article 'Attitudes Tovard Work'.In those two paragraphs I want to cite the example the 'Land's End Company, Dodgeville, Wisconsin. In the article, the author said the company offers employees the possibility of trying a new job temporarily without losing their current position. If they like the work, they can request an official transfer. I doubt this company's approach (whether)is correct. From this article we have know the employees want to try different kinds of work now, very few workers expect to stay in the same job for their whole life(lives). So the company's this approach is be urge the employees to seek the new job. In a company, high turnover rate among employees isn't a good thing. This will cause lower work efficiency. So I want to ask 'why'. In paragraph6 I have some doubts. One is in the sentence 'Both men and women… the requirements of their job and the needs of their family'. The words requirement and need both have the meaning people want something what you not have enough. Why the author use the different words. I think maybe the word requirement's meaning is strong than the word need. Maybe only is the author want to use the different words. |
