| 释义 | Cheating in school is a common phenomenon. It is really hard to be handled just like the smoker who can't stop smoking easily. It is a sociality focused on acquisition, adults are eager to be successful in every part, students want to be the top of their school (however, most of them just like their highest mark). The adults they try every mean to get what they want so the cheating has gone flourishing. And what the adults thinking about will effect their children. I believe that's one of the factors of cheating.That's a world full of cheating, I mean, some of them come from good intention which we can hear a lot from newspaper or magazine, but some of them origin from desires which can be met in most of our lives. Although campus has been focusing on this cheating issue and trying to deal with it like cruel punishment, there still exists a large number of cheating activities.That means to say: "students just aren't brought up to see cheating as dishonest".When students got the habit of cheating in elementary school, less attention was paid by parents and so the cheating developed in high schools and colleges. It's said that the parents is the first leader in children's lives. Parents are so care about the achievement of their kids that ignore the self-esteems. But it's not to say that the parents do not care about the personality, sometimes they just haven't got the information and what they are doing are the things they don't like their kids to do. That's not a world which there is only one person exists. It's hard to avoid to be effected by others. So it is going to be more and more difficult to be an honest one in today's life.In the passages, the author gives an example of how the university addresses the problem. They want to control these bad habits of its students by issuing a pamphlet which describes the ways students may use to cheat and ways to stop them to their teachers. Truth gives a short answer. Yes, it's surely great that to be an honest man. While, is that's the best choice to be honest person all the time? I don't think so.It costs me some time to find out the main part in the sentence. "Troubling is that it is often the most gifted students who are the worst offenders".Nature is everything, I think. Too much pressure would lead to failures. Students need proper encouragement not unrealistic expectation. It is impossible that we are able to be the right men our parents assumed to be all the time. In order to make parents happy, we sometime may try to do anything to get the goal, especially the top students for the high expectancy. |
