释义 | At this modern time, both men and women ask for the "quality of life". As the word "quality" has been used all of the world, more and more articles put it into their passages. Men and women "struggle to balance “their "job" and their "family need” --it sounds like a war rather than a job. In the third sentence of paragraph 6, it refers to the worker's responsibility of taking care "both children and elderly parent". The writer knows clearly that this is a narrow world and somewhere the workers even tend to get marry without giving birth to any baby--there is a special name for describing such a situation ---"DOUBLE INCOME NO KID"(DINK). While is that the family responsibility is the cause of their working? I don't agree. In someway, workers with no family responsibilities want to work. Job offers a person not only the salary, but the reputation, pride, happiness, self-confidence and the things like that as well. That's called "work for enjoyment" which closely relates to the "quality of life". If a company says that "they value the individuals", it means that the company "must be sensitive to the personal need of their employees". It's a changing word that very few workers expect to stay in the same job for their whole life". The opportunities that workers want to expand their knowledge and experience" are chances of promoting in position, increasing in status and getting higher salary. "They want to try different kind of work" means to say that the workers like to expand their experiences and research the right work they want by different jobs. They long for further work training for their capabilities of job. At the end of paragraph, the writer gives some examples to bear out how successful companies affect their employees. |
